New Adventures

I would like to announce that our family will soon be taking a new journey in our lives. We will be moving to the Baton Rouge area. Brady will be managing a new Stine store in Walker, LA. Walker is about 15 miles east of Baton Rouge on I-12. We will most likely be moving to Denham Springs which is on the Parish line between Baton Rouge and Walker. Denham Springs is in Livingston Parish which has good schools. As you know, Jack will start Kindergarten next year, so schools are a big issue for us now. We will be moving as soon as we sell our house and find a new one. Our house is officially for sale today!! Brady is very excited about this new opportunity. I am doing OK! I am very sad about leaving a job that I love, my friends, our home, and my family of course. On the other hand, I think this will be a wonderful experience for us to grow as a family. I have made the decision to stay home with the kids once we move (for as long as my sanity allows me to). This has all happened very quickly (one week). The kids don't know much about it. I discussed it briefly with Jack and he freaked out, left the room and hasn't said another word about it. So we are going to hold off on that talk for a while. For the sake of being positive, I will say that we love Baton Rouge and have always said that if we were to move anywhere, it would be there.

Please pray for our family as we embark on this new adventure!! We will need it. I would also like to apologize to everyone that is reading this rather then hearing it from us first. Like I said, this has happened very quickly and I have been in shock!!

Hi Laurie! I will keep you guys in our prayers. Everything will work out and you will be very excited once you start looking for homes. We have friends in Denham Springs that would be great support. You are a great mom...and you will adjust anywhere...that's just what we do! I am hear if you need me.

Ok, I am currently composing a comprehensive list of good stuff about Baton Rouge for you, and I have become a little homesick. Among the top 10: driving down Highland Rd on a beautiful day, CC's Coffee House, picnics @LSU lakes, Rocco's po'boys, Bass Pro, and various awesome shopping opportunities...more to come.

We are thinking about you! Change is a good thing. You are strong person and you are going to come through this whole thing just fine. We will come visit you hopefully in the spring! Miss you lots. Hang in there, we're just phone call away!

Oh MY! Good Luck with this new challenge - it will bring lots of ups and downs (i cannot lie) BUT if you and Brady choose to stick as a team and keep God in the center of your marriage it will be no big deal. A huge adjustment with the 3 kids and no help - but you can do it. Praying for a smooth transition. love you! Christa

I will be praying also that your children will make a smooth transition. I know it will be hard for Jack because he understands whats going on. I will miss you deeply, but this is a wonderful opportunity for Brady. Two hours isn't too bad! Baton Rouge is a great city so I know you will have visitors. I can't believe that I just moved home and now you are moving away.
