Big Day Without a Camera

Of all the days to not have a camera. It was such a pretty day Sunday! It was hot but not as torturous as it has been lately, so I suggested that we take the kids for a boat ride. We drove out to Brady's mom's house and dropped off Henry and picked up the boat and his little sister Taylor. We drove the boat from his mom's house to the new camp in Big Lake.
After a short visit to the camp, Brady informed me that it was time for me to learn how to drive the boat. I told him that I was a great driver on open water, but have no desire to learn how to really maneuver the thing. That's when he decided to break it to me that he was taking Jack tubing and I would be their chauffeur. After a quick lesson and a long anxiety attack, I agreed to take them. They had a blast, but I was accused by my five year old of being the worst boat driver in the world!
By this point, Camille was freaking out because she wanted to ride. Against my refusal, Brady allowed Taylor to take her on the tube (if you want to call child services, I understand). She loved it and even went again. They even talked me into going with all of my clothes on. I hated it and screamed the whole time of course- "I am way too old for this! "
Anyway, it was a wonderful day that we really needed. It was really nice to escape all of the crazy things going on in our life right now (I will go into that next post for those of you who don't know). I wish I could find my camera!!!!!
